Happy to announce on the auspicious Durga Ashtami night of Oct 2nd in Milton, Halton’s Hindu community witnessed a successful launch ceremony of Halton Hindu Forum. The Forum is a formal realization to fulfill the long-term aspiration of being one unified connecting body for Halton’s diverse Hindu community for more than a decade. The program witnessed the celebration of the launch with the coming together and enthusiastic participation from various Hindu community members from Milton, Oakville, and Burlington. The occasion was marked by a ‘proclamation’ by Milton’s Mayor Mr. Gordon Krantz for the ‘Halton Hindu Forum as one connecting voice for Halton’s Hindu Community. The event was graced by the presence and speeches of Milton MP Adam van Koeverden along with Hon’ble Dheeraj Pareek, from the Consulate General of India in Toronto. The program included spiritual songs, traditional Indian cultural dance performances, and guidance speeches from invited dignitaries of prominent Hindu spiritual organizations including Chinmaya Mission and Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS).
